Subject	valve covers and liquid gasket

Message	Guys, I'm in the middle of replacing VC gaskets and have questions about where to use liquid gasket. I know this has been beaten to death on the forum but I haven't found a unified answer in the post. On exhaust side: 1. bead of RTV in groove of valve cover 2. bead of RTV on rubber half moon plugs 3. couple dabs of RTV at corners of mating surface on engine side? On intake side: 1. rubber gasket in groove of valve cover 2. couple dabs of RTV at corners of mating surface on engine side? do you wait for it to dry before mating valve cover with rubber gasket? 3. bead of RTV over top of VTC solenoid. this is where i'm not so sure. there is a narrow channel on top of the VTC that had some gasket material when i removed covers. does the rubber gasket seal this or does it also get RTV? 4. does under side of VTC also need new seal if only replacing VC gaskets or is that only for replacing VTC solenoids?
