Message Hello Everyone

First post here.

I'm having a problem with my #1 cylinder coil wiring. With the key on, engine off, I have battery voltage at both the power wire and the signal wire at the coil connection. If I connect a coil pack and turn the ignition on/ engine off the coil gets so hot you can't touch it. I've tried 3 different PTU's.

Also with the ECU to PTU connecter plugged up, ground from the PTU ohms very high to the PTU ground wire behind #6. When I unplug that one connection I do have great ground from the ECU. I have tested and tested for over 40hrs.

If you have any idea what I should try or check, please advise me. At your convenience of course.

I can't find anyone that has had this problem. This all started after I did my 120K maintance. Car was perfect before.

Thanks Again!
Tom Burns
