and neither would the vehicle manufacturer. Tire manufacturers develop for a range and vehicle manufacturers determine values within that range appropriate for their application. Likewise, since Nissan designed and built the heads and engine systems, as well as specified which spark plugs, they can specify what torque is recommended. A random spark plug box will not factor in this information. There are additional factors Nissan engineers may consider as well. See #4 in the NGK document for just a few. If you want to go with "eh, close enough", that's your call but why not just torque to spec while you're already there?
