Message It is literally a house vacuum. I bought a spare fram oil filter (eh, fram) and drilled a 1" hole in the bottom (and severely cleaned afterwards)

Then I took a 3/4" NPT to 1" slip fitting (Home Depot) and screwed it into the bottom of the oil filter, bought 3' of 1" flexible clear tubing (Also Home Depot) to fit inside the 1" slip adapter, put it all together, used tape to hold everything together/seal it up a bit.

Then you install the oil filter, hook your vacuum up to the clear tube, turn on your vacuum, and crank your car (short bursts) until you see oil in the clear tube, then you know your pickup/oil pump is primed.

I would recommend disabling the fuel pump so the car doesn't fire up accidentally while priming.
