I would just pull the tubes from the sides of the EGR valve, disconnect the vacuum lines, wiring, solenoid, etc, and leave the EGR valve and tube in there until you can get it out properly. I have a feeling any shortcuts are just going to end up causing headaches later for you. I had to weld a 3' section of angle to my fitting to break it off, so be prepared for a bit of fun.
