Message Hi all, I'm new to the 300zx (obviously), and I was wondering when most people end up doing an engine rebuild? My question is, barring any mechanical issues that would necessitate an engine rebuild, when does one usually have it done?

My 91' has 103k miles on it and is running very well, so it's not really on the radar for me (yet), but I'd like to have some idea regardless. I'm hoping to make around 400 whp on the stock turbos, and plan on upgrading the turbos when the stock ones break. With upgraded turbos I think I'd like to aim for 500 whp. I heard that the limit on stock internals for the vg30dett is around 500 whp, so does a turbo upgrade in this case require an engine rebuild a well? I'd like to keep this car for a long time, so I want to keep it healthy.
