| Hey guys, Finally put a day pass on my Z, and gave her some boosting around town. I was having a smoking issue earlier, but it seemed to have rectified itself magically. Some info:
PO had grossly overfilled the oil (5 liters), and clogged every discernible passage with thick black sludge oil. breather tubes, pcv's, plenum, etc. Please note, that I had found an oil trickle in my right hand side downpipe. Anyway, here was the car idling after a good 15 minute run and boosting up a mountain (in safety boost currently, code 35). After this, I mentally prepared myself for a turbo replacement. After gunning the engine a few times, and redlining it, a HUGE pume of blue/white/black (yes, black) smoke shot out, and then stopped. No smoke. I couldn't believe my eyes, so I took the Z for some more boosting around the mountain. 15 minutes later, still no smoke. No smoke at decel, none at accel. I let the car sit for 8 hours, then started her again. No smoke at accel/decel.
Does anyone have any idea what is going on here?
