Message	miles. Deflection was up to 1/2". After tightening the belt down so that deflection was 1/4" again, all squealing is gone for me. I used a regular belt at first, however it stretched to the point where it was at the end of adjustment. The belt was fairly tough to install when new. I would honestly recommend a gates racing belt for the alternator since it needs to be incredibly tough.
