Message that's good to know that the sound isn't an issue!

So here's a little more specific information on how I can get my car to start.

Using the online manual I am disconnecting the plug for the inhibitor switch (12 I think on the wiring diagram, hard to read) the wires are brown and black I believe. If I connect a wire to the brown side and directly ground it the car starts absolutely no hesitation, however if I try to bridge this connection from brown to black the car wont start it does the exact same thing it does when the inhibitor switch is plugged in. Which makes me think there is a problem along the black wire somewhere, but I get continuity when its tested. I have read about bypassing the inhib, but would like to avoid doing so if possible.
