Message There is a "spout" (for lack of better terms) that sticks out the block where the oil feeds into the filter tree. This "spout" just screws in. On the filter tree there are o-rings to seal it. The 4 bolt hole castings that bolt the filter tree to the block is the same on every block. You just might have to find the right "spout" and gasket for your filter tree. I guessing this "spout is actually the same. There are 2 holes, one on each side of the "spout" in the circular casting of the block where the filter tree goes. On the TT they are plugged. On the NA there are ball and springs to act as a check valve. There is like no room to work on the filter tree when the motor is in the car. There is a transmission bracket, a turbo, and a frame rail in the way of getting the darn thing off. Sounds like you have a NA filter tree. The TT and NA filter tree can easily be swapped out when the motor is out of the car. You really need to run an oil cooler as the turbos super heat the oil and can cause overheating and coaxing in the turbo when the motor is shut off. Oil cooler when set up right can drastically reduce engine temps.
