Place #1 cylinder at top dead center. Nissan makes it real easy to align timing as there are marks on all pulley's and the belt also has timing marks. The marks on the timing belt get worn off though. I would suggest dropping the radiator to get it out of the way. Remove the 2 aluminum coolant lines. Remove: accessory belts, crank pulley, timings covers. Mark timing belt with a paint pen. Loosen the bolts to timing belt tensioner. Find a bolt to go into the the timing belt tensioner and screw it in very slowly or else the tab will break off. Belt should slide right off. At this point might be a good time to do timing job. I have TONS of exhaust pulley's and I can sell you a good used exhaust pulley for $20 plus shipping.
