| All boost controller solenoids make a similar sound. However, I don't think yours should be activating when you turn the key off. My Z has a GReddy PRofec Type-S boost controller, and I initially mounted it on the firewall (just for ease of plumbing the vacuum lines). I could hear it every time it activated while driving. The only time mine activated was when I was above ~6psi of boost. That activation point probably depends on the boost and gain settings. Does your car boost correctly for the settings you have on your boost controller? Maybe check the wiring between your controller and solenoid, and check the settings in your controller. -Jason
