Short block is very similar with slightly different squirters, and oil tree is slightly different. Crank is the same. Pistons/bore are the same to my knowledge. Pretty sure the oil line for the passenger turbo is tapped but blocked on the NA block. The big difference is in the heads and the compression they make. When my friend was getting IPP to do a big TT power build, he had no problem working with the NA short-block but didn't want to work with NA heads for various reasons.
