Subject	~ 1 1/2 quart low on oil change today

Message	Did an oil and filter change, only had about 2 1/2 quarts after dumping the oil from the filter into the pan as well. I checked the dip stick last week on a cold engine I couldn't get a reading, warmed up and sat for a few minutes, got a full reading. Only drove about 300 miles after that when I changed the oil today. There are no visible leaks and I am not smoking out the back. I put on test pipes around 8k miles ago and I didn't see any oil on the precats. My local Z guy told me I don't necessarily need to be smoking out the back to be burning oil. Where else could my oil have gone off to? I put some oil in the new oil filter and then added 3-5/8 qt today. Got an oil sample to send off to blackstone labs. 94' TT w/ 83k miles.
