Message	not recommended by Nissan in the tranny, the 5 speed tranny calls for a GL4. The GL5 stuff is not kind to the tranny synchros too much HP additive needed for rear end gears where it was designed for. I have been there with Mobil 1 and created synchro issues had tranny replaced under warranty years ago. Not sure about the Redline oil you note and if compatible with synchros and if the heaview weight will fix your problem? I presently use Royal Purple synthetic 75w 90 gear oil, no issues and a quieter gear box in 2nd and 4th gear where there was a small whine, and smooth shifts compared to other oils I tried like Redline 90, valvoline 75w 90, Amsoil 75w 90. Your issues sound like worn out bearings, but oil change worth a try as cheaper than a R&R + parts for the tranny. ZUL8TR in Orlando,FL
