That's the clarity I needed. I wanted to avoid the grinding of the upper intake manifold around one or two injectors when using adapters/aftermarket fuel rail. I actually don't mind port-matching intake manifold/cylinder heads as I do that will all my engine rebuilds, so it's more a matter of cost effectiveness. I actually prefer the 360 degree fuel rails as they are claimed to provide better (equal) fuel delivery to all injectors, but that's way beyond what I want to spend since I'm grooming the car for resale. I have several bad injectors now making the care essentially undriveable (and unsmoggable here in Cali), and since I already changed out injectors about 7 years ago, I'm going to go ahead and replace all injectors with the new style to avoid the apparent short life-span of the old style injectors with today's fuel blends. So that means new pigtails and JWT adapters.
