What you're saying is that it's equally safe to have less engaged threads on a more coarse thread since it covers more distance on the bolt. That makes no logical sense, as the length of the bolt has no bearing on the security of the bolt. Imagine an incredibly course thread pitch with only a couple of turns, yet they still cover the distance you claim is safe. It just is not logical, and you're misunderstanding the physics of how screw mechanisms function.

The amount of threads holding the nut is what matters, and that should be a minimum of 6 threads, or 6 full turns of the nut. That is devoid of the thread pitch and the distance from the end of the bolt being covered by the nut.
