Message	And if there were a rule of thumb regarding engagement length, it would be equal to 1x the diameter, not 1.5x. But still that makes no sense since the amount of turns would vary with pitch, meaning that a longer thread pitch would require less turns to reach your "secure" engagement distance and thus be less secure than a shorter thread pitch.
