Message	Here is the foloow-up to my old post about the short throw shifter issue.. seen here: Clicky Well, I uninstalled the short throw shifter yesterday, and now I can go into 5th gear. This is very strange, as it seemed to go into 5th when I installed it, and then one day it popped out while driving under normal conditions. Then after, it would not go into 5th. I even tested this by loosening the main bottom plate so I could push the shifter as far forward as possible. No go; so I re-installed the OEM shifter, and it goes into 5th, but it does seem to have to be pushed forward more than ususal.. I've installed a short throw before, and had no issues. It's a no brainer to install. I have a 98 spec transmission with very low miles.
