I doubt there's any way to replicate that behavior without having the controls built into the ecu (or rigging the control system from a 240sx, which I'm not interested in doing), so I'll probably just keep it simple. I'll be using a beefier alternator, so other than a bit of alternator parasitic loss there shouldn't be too many repercussions. If it's on and being too efficient, the coolant would drop low enough to cut off the Volvo efan so I should be protected either way to some extent.
