As the title says. Jumped in my car (90) after being on vacation for a little over a week. Speedometer worked fine up until that point, never a flutter.
Things I have done to troubleshoot:
-Replace speedo cluster with one from a parts car, was told it was working
-Removed speed sensor, attached gear end to drill, measured 6.02 VAC as fast as my drill would spin on high. Also tested for continuity from where the sensor plugs in all the way to the connector on the back of the cluster.
- Took the speedo circuit itself out of the cluster and had a TV repair shop re-solder all of the connections and test everything he could.So after all this I still have no working speedometer, and thus no working power steering. What else can I do to attempt to trouble shoot this thing?
