Message I wanted to follow up on my post regarding a strange popping sound coming from the front driver side suspension area, which can be found here.

It turns out, the popping was actually caused by the aftermarket Stillen sway bar bracket. The bolt holes on the stock brackets are small enough that the bolt fits relatively snugly through the hole. The stillen sway bars have a much larger hole, and thus allows the sway bar brackets to slide around under tension.

In order to fix this, I tightened the bolts down hard enough that they actually coned the washers, creating an acorn seat effect to center the brackets and hold them firmly in place. I contemplated using larger washers and torquing them down, but I think my fix will help keep them centered better.

I wanted to offer my resolution in case others had the same issue and came across my post, I was able to discover the issue and get it fixed.

Cheers,
JBrobst
