I just went through this. Check the 10 amp A/C fuse in the box located at the front drivers side. Mine kept blowing do to a bad electromagnetic ring in the compressor. If this is your case, then ohm test it. Mine was reading .5 ohms. My new one reads 3.5 ohms. I replaced the dryer and expansion valve while I was in the system. Just got it charged yesterday. Took it for a spin and when I got out of the car, my sunglasses fogged up. Ice cold.
By the way, your system is not fully charged if you clutch is not engaging. And you need a vacuum and a set of manifold gauges to properly charge. Monitoring the high and low pressures according to the ambient temperature.
