So I have removed everything holding the transmission in the car, transmission bolts, rear support bracket, wiring, shift linkage, etc. I cannot get the transmission to budge using the harbor freight transmission jack. I have wrestled with it quite a bit, lowered the jack, raised it and tried all kinds of different positions. Tried loosening the motor mounts and tilting it back further, nothing. The motor mounts are shot and as I lower the transmission the engine is tilting back pretty far before it stops moving. Could it be pinching the shaft as I lower it? Only other thing I can think of is the reason it is coming out is the clutch stopped working last summer, pedal wouldn't go down. I believe it was the clutch fork that gave out, but I'm not positive. Could anything have broken internally be stopping the transmission from coming out?
