Message I have my 1990 NA that I swapped to TT. Now I am finally putting in my AC system. I have all new lines, drier, condensor, seals, compressor, all from a '94 and newer so that its all for 134a.

So my question is . . . since I am installing a new compressor (and everything else) do I need to fill the compressor with oil or anything befor i install it. Once I am finished installing everything (all new from firewall to compressor and back, but empty i.e. no oil or R134) I am taking it to a shop for the evacuate, leak test and charge but I do not know if I need to add anything to the compressor before hand??? The tech manual said to drain the onld compressor and then put that same amount of oil into the new one before install, but since I have not had AC in this car for the last 4+ years I have no compressor on it to drain before hand.

Any advise is appreciated as the last part I am waiting to install will be here on 07APR2014.
