Message When I rebuilt my engine (and the only engine I've rebuilt) I used the bearing grades punched on my crank and block. I've been running 11-12 psi of boost on an SZ tune and my last dyno tune (before my 740cc injectors) I put down 315 hp. Now I'm probably making more power with the bigger injectors and test pipes but lets say the power is still the same. I had blackstone examine my oil and they actually said that the engine is healthy and should last. I'm just curious at what point (PSI or HP) does one consider the stock clearances not sufficient and need to go with more clearance.

But ofcourse at that time I did not even consider bigger bearing clearance cause I never tackled something like that and had no idea what would be invovled in that.

I have nightmares about that happening...I'd be the poor bastard you'd hear about on the news that gets killed by a softball-size chunk while spreading out my body over the hood and screaming "Nooo!" (Having a conversation about hail damage) - BradZ (FL) on March 25, 2005 at 9:56 PM

Tell your friend that you could take a dump, light it on fire and that would be hotter shit than his car. Probes suck, that's just all there is to it. - 300ZXpert (someday) on April 04, 2005 at 11:35 PM
