| The Fuel Pump Relay turns on the Hot side of the 12 Volts.. But the FCU controls the Speed of the Fuel Pump by Limiting the 'Ground Side' of the Fuel Pump to limit flow at reduced engine loads.. If the Orange wire is hot, the Fuel Pump will only run if the FCU is allowing the Pump to run at a speed.. The FCU is not designed to prevent the pump from running, but you have something very weird going on here, and I'm trying to wrap my head around if it's a Fuel Pump Relay not turning on, or some sort of faulty FCU wiring or control.. NORMALLY if the Orange wire is Hot, the FCU will let the Pump run at SOME Speed.. I'm trying to figure out if that is the case here.. Cj
