| So I don't have to answer the basic questions. Please look at profile before posting. I have the newer '95 harness with dielectric grease added in ALL connections so corrosion should be ruled out. All new fuel components. The only plausible, is the used '95 CAS purchased from member Xoltan during the build. I completed my build last June and although I don't drive my car frequently (2-3k/year), it has ran flawlessly until maybe a month ago... The initial observation is during low speed driving 25-40mph for example, keeping the throttle steady, I get what feels like a miss/VERY slight stumble. Although more difficult to pin point due to bumps in freeway driving, it's also observed @ 60. Last week, I installed the J&S and noticed this miss/stumble a little worse during warmup and first time driving it yesterday for a car meet. Since Seb had setup the J&S before sending it out, I decided to put it into boost and see what happens. What I immediately noticed was my boost shoot up to 15psi under 3k rpms (not normal) but the car clearly wasn't going anywhere... as if the J&S detected knock. Tried random 2nd gear, 3rd, and 4th gear runs with similar result of boost shooting up, but the car not accelerating like it used to. After getting back home being easy on the gas, I could tell the miss being a bit worse, especially at idle. I checked my timing and it was at ZERO/TDC. At this point I started to worry and get pissed because I know for a 100% fact, I had set it properly after the build was complete. I started backtracking my work and eventually removed all the soldered connections from the J&S and put the system back to what it was. Checked timing again and same thing... sitting at ZERO/TDC. I adjusted the timing back to 15*, and had to readjust the idle as well. Still had the miss at idle and when driving. Noticed a major loss in power while driving but car boosts like it should. Get the car back home, check timing again and now it's at 20 or 25 TDC (sorry can't remember exactly). Is the CAS bad? Cliff Notes: - Occasional miss during idle and cruising as of recently - Bouncing timing: Initially 15* but after J&S install and running badly, noticed it at 0/TDC. Uninstalled J&S, still at 0/TDC. Adjust to 15*, miss still present and noticed loss of power. Check timing again and at 20* or 25* (Car completely at temp and verified with Datascan) - TPS @ .44 and working properly - Injectors Ohmed as follows #1 11 #2 10.9 #3 10.9 #4 10.9 #5 (will get to when I remove plugs and do compression check) #6 10.9 - Power balance test not performed with Datascan since the miss is occasional. I have not removed the CAS yet to see if there is shaft play that wasn't present when I bought the CAS. As soon as I get my compression tester tomorrow, I'll warm up the car, check plugs, compression, and ohm #5 injector. Sorry so long... Thoughts?
