Message	shows a vent hose that goes from the top of the tank to right under the gas cap. There wouldn't be mush sense of that unless the cap is capable of releasing excess pressure which must have been what the sound was. The car is running fine, but if it happens again, I will just try opening the gas cap to see if that takes care of it. Thanks everyone.
