Message	More pics? Is wear across entire meshing face width? Any pitting? What sort of driving did you do for those 5k miles? Which gear oil was used/ how long for each? Oil analysis? I would start by checking shaft(bearing) play and backlash/crossmesh between meshing gears. Noise could be transmission error. Curious on what you get quoted for WPC vs. Something proven for gears such as superfinishing.
