Message Good day TT.net,

I have searched and found a number of related issues, but haven't came across just what we need in this specific instance just yet... Soooo we are asking for a fish, in case we overlooked it in the archives.

Over view: my buddy bought his Z (2.5-3yrs ago), it has sat ever since, while he rebuilt the motor etc. We recently installed his motor, tranny etc... Filled with regular motor oil (yes non-synthetic).

Once all together she started right up, and we went through the normal in place break in methods,(haven't driven her yet). She initially idled a bit loud with some chatter,(as should be expected with a dry motor while the oil gets circulated).

My bud has one of those sniffers for the exhaust to see if it is running normal, rich, lean étc, in parts per million readings, ( I don't recall the electronic unit name or exact readings right now), but I do remember it being the equivalent of a EXTREAMLY lean AFR if he had a wide band setup installed; infact, as the title suggests, its so lean that she knocks at idle and will even stall out from time to time. (haven't idled her much due to this issue).

So far we know the fuel pump is good an kicks on, does have a new Fuel Filter, (haven't changed since the 1st start up), (we did drain the old 93 octane and added about 3 gallons of fresh chevron). ECU is chipped for dual intake, dual MAF selin kit, 850cc Sard injectors, etc from a major vendor.. OEM fuel rails, OEM FPR. (we feel confident in the chip/vendor, so only mechanical/electrical issues are the main suspects right now).

Not sure if any old fuel could contribute to this,etc.. We are getting spark, good injector pulse,etc.. ( we did pull 2 spark plugs, and it appeared that we aren't getting enough fuel).

Timing has been verified with a timing light, etc..

What do all you Z gurus think? Clogged injectors, new fuel filter, anything else? All input is appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

-M.
