If it's an auto system, for sure you're in for some fun. Although I'm a bit unsure of exactly which door will move, I know the actuator motors, called "air mix doors/motors/actuators" are underneath the heater box. I have replaced these myself. You will have to take out the heater box (see also pull dash) to swap them out. When I bought my Z (1990 TT with auto climate) it only had cold air, year round. I had to pull the dash, yank the heater core (replace that while you have it out) and replace the two actuators on the bottom of the heater box. Put it all back in, I have any temperature air I want. You can see a good portion of the heater box IIRC by removing the radio bezel/main vent piece. You may be able to see if the door is jammed through there, but I doubt it. My vote and experience says you're in for a dash pull. Good luck, there's plenty of info on here and other sites to get you through the procedure. It's definately do-able.
