Message StopTech specifies piston size according to the cars OEM bias, retaining the F/R ratio. StopTech also determined that for our application, brake modulation was best implemented via 4POT calipers instead of the 6 or even 8 that other companies use. AP Racing offers a 4POT and 6POT (why?), but StopTech claims they are the only manufacturer that has the tapered pistons catered towards the Z32. This is the single most important thing to me.

StopTech also has proprietary technology that makes

1) their rotors so desired, as opposed to AP Racing and other companies packaging BBKs through suppliers with other companies rotors
2) calipers extremely stiff (the brake pad cover acts as a caliper bridge that firms up stiffness, mimicking monoblocks without the hassle of tedious pad changes, which mind you takes easily 1 minute on the ST-40!)
3) plethora of pad options (ST-40, StopTechs caliper for the front of the Z32, is based on a Porsche pad selection)

They have affordable rotor replacements as well.

(Call Dr. Kuah at SPL Racing, he has designed a 14 inch StopTech kit to work with the rear ST-22 caliper that StopTech makes for the rear of the Z32.)

The AP Racing kits are more plug n play, without a specific vehicle in mind. I say they are good for drag racing due to their high piston setups and rigid proven caliper design which will allow for heavy front biased braking at the expense of brake modulation, which consequently isnt a priority at the drag strip. One can of course install a proportioning valve and "make" an AP kit work- but when I spend 4 digits on brakes, you better believe its gonna be a clean install "balanced out the box" as StopTech calls it.

Plus, the Calloway looks awesome with it :)
