Message	THat switch has to close to allow the relay to pull in to allow current to get to the starter motor. The Button closes the coil for the starter relay. If the contacts of the relay are no good no power gets to the actual starter solenoid. This is a common Z issue and there is a write up in the Tech pages here.. even if you don't do your own work, it's good information for you & your mechanic. Mike
