Was traveling for a month and left my car parked in the driveway (uncovered). We had a couple of heavy rain days here over the course of the month . When I returned last week I smelled a strong smell of mildew. To my surprise, I found a a huge pocket of water underneath my trunk carpet (on the left hand side facing the rear of the car) in the styrofoam container that holds the headlight aiming/straightening tools?.
I think it's coming from a gap in the seal between the hatch window and the seal that surrounds it on the lower left corner. Would I be able to use some type of silicone based gel to seal it? Funds are low and I'd rather hold off on the expense if I can. Any advice /suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks in advance for your help.
