Message really love working on cars, are good at it, have lots of cash around, and a good place to work. The consensus is that one should buy a "front clip" from a TT, because of all the little parts that will break your bank, (not to mention your mind), if you buy them one at a time. Problem there is that you are getting an unknown engine, despite claims. Some people do this conversion, then spend years fixing stuff. Some people have great success. If you really like working on cars, then go for it. There is lots of info on this site to help. If you just want a TT to drive, then sell the NA and buy a TT. You won't be ahead money-wise, especially with the low prices of TT's these days.
