Subject	Best way to remove spring/ball valve on block?

Message	The spring was tore up and stretched out so i removed the ball bearing and the spring that surrounds it and going to plug up the holes. I cant seem to remove the remaining seal in the block. The metal is very soft and breaks as soon as you put any pressure on it. Is there a trick to removing these things?
