Question 1 - I have my engine on a stand. I believe it is a 92 JDM. Anyway, I took the timing belt covers off and then the 3 bolts holding the metal CAS bracket on. Even with the bolts off, the CAS bracket won't budge. I tapped it a few times with a mallet and a screw driver, but it didn't jar loose like the water pipes, pump, etc do. Am I missing something? I really tugged on it pretty hard and it didn't want to move at all. Question 2 - Just curious if you can use an impact driver on the 19mm bolts holding the intake sprockets on? Last time I took the bolts off with my NA engine in the car and in 1st gear. However, I am afraid to put too much stress on the bolt while it is on the stand, plus I'll have to have a 2nd person counter act my force with another ratchet on the crankshaft bolt. Anyway, I was worried that the impact might damage the intake cams.
