Why do you suspect it may be going out? i accidentally ran the car w/ low water and i could hear the pump, never got to the red line....but it was hesitant while running......filled it later.....noticed water dripping down the middle of the block from the water pump area.....but later stopped.....the main problem now is that it is delaying while running on D (automatic) to shift....this never happened before.....but the temperature remained at middle........your hints are quite helpful.....
