Message is applying enough signal for the Bose remote amps to work correctly? If the impedance match isn't right - it's not going to work.

If I'm recalling correctly -- there was an electrical adapter that would allow the head unit speaker outs to signal the amp units. Not sure that's still available?

Two options -- replaced the Bose speaker/amps with regular speakers (most elect to do this). Other option is to bypass the Bose amp and still use the Bose speakers with your new head unit. Reusing all the stock wiring to do this -- it's a lot of work to end up with the same basic speakers but the only cost is your time to do it. If you want to try this -- I'd do a quick verification on the Bose speakers themselves, not sure what specs they have (2 ohms, 4 ohms or 8 ohms and power rating they can handle - 10 watts, etc).
