Subject	brake pedal

Message	so recently my brake pedal has been really hard and impossible to push down before i start the car (which sometimes i need to do if im parked on a slant). ive also noticed that when i step on the pedal at idle, the rpms go down by about 200. I checked the fluid and it seems fine. Any ideas on why this is happening? thanks in advance.
