Subject	Cost to replace or rebuild a N/A motor?

Message	I have a '90 N/A whose injectors were going out constantly before something major with a valve happened. My mechanic tore the engine down a little and discovered a bent rod and he thinks the valve rusted to the cylinder because it sat idle for so long. The car has sat for 2 years now with nothing done. I'd like to get it running again for a dependable (as much as a Z can be) DD. For that reason I was thinking of keeping it a N/A. Does anyone know a ballpark value of how much it would cost to rebuild including new style injectors vs. replace the engine? Never have I hated a car so much nor said so many fowl and horrible words in my life than during the installation of the headers.
