:It is important to drive for a while like PoweredbyZ mentioned. I believe 93+ didn't even have AIV's.
:If we had actual data we could help point you in the right direction. 7% more fuel might do it though..

It's been a year and I dont have the inspection sheet anymore so I cant tell you why it failed. But one of the readings was considerably over. I guess my main question was whether or not the ECU tune will cut out the 7% increase in fuel at idle but judging from PoweredbyZ's response it does. If it didnt he would presumably fail just like me because he wouldnt have the extra air in there to help burn the fuel at the cat and it would show up as dirty emissions. Man this AIV system is crap in the first place... it dumps in more air AND fuel so that the cat burn the original gas passing through better?? no wonder they eliminated it after 92. Hey PoweredbyZ, do you mind saying what state you live in?
