| ...when I saw my oil pressure drop to zero while driving in downtown Corpus Christi. I had just driven the car cross-country from Orange County (having just purchased from an autotrader ad - thanks David!). I hightailed it back home and logged onto the tech section here and looked up the problem. The Nissan dealer in O.C. had warned me about a slight oil leak around the sender unit, but I had no idea that a bad sender would play havoc with the pressure gauge. Question: I've priced the part and it seems that replacement is easy. Is there anything more than simply unscrewing the unit and disconnecting electrical and reversing the procedure for the new unit - a ten minute job? Nissan wants almost $200 to do the job when the part is 80 bucks.
