is there a trick to get the starter out? i removed both bolts, even managed to get the heat shield off. there is a stud coming out of a tranny that goes into the lower part part of the starter. cant clear it regardless of what i do unless i remove the downpipe (not happening). does it need to come out? if so - is there a special tool to get it out? the stud has a little rectangular part on it for removal - cant use wise grips on it - it will strip the metal.
