Message Car is a 91 Z32tt

Car used to be an auto that was swapped to a 5spd a month or so ago. Everything was in working order.

Today the factory boost gauge quit working & the red hicas warning lamp, the red brake warning lamp, and the red headlight warning lamp (above the hicas light) all came on simultaneously when I turned onto the main road this afternoon.

This was shortly after I installed a manual boost controller I made, but I can't see what that has to do with it. Maybe wires got moved in the process but I'm unsure.

I have:

checked to make sure factory boost sensor is connected properly and receiving up to 15psi as the aftermarket gauge indicates.

I put a new end on the + battery cable as it was needing one, but it didn't help.

Checked alt. output and its throwing out about 14.1-14.2 volts or so.

The lights and the factory psi gauge must be on the same circuit as they will flicker when the car is revved up rapidly.

Also, when the car is revved over 3k upon return to idle when the rpm is held at or near 2650 I hear a buzzing sound and the lights flicker and the psi gauge appears to try to work.

Hicas (ps) fluid is full, all brake lights work, and all headlights are functional so none of that should be the issue...... its purely electrical in nature but I don't know where.

Its driving me nuts! I'm usually pretty quick w/z32 stuff...... but I'm just about stumped.

The buzzing sound sounds like something electrical shorting out but its really hard to locate the source.

if anyone has Ideas, i'm open to suggestions....

Thanks for any advice!

Damon (southwest missouri)
