My newly installed engine was running good after Bernie got me a new IAA connector to splice. I developed a squealing sound that would come and go at differing RPMs. I have an U/A crank pulley. Thought belt might be slipping/or to tight. Got some belt dressing and that helped a bit but the other evening got on the interstate and the accy belt went as the battery light came on and the squeal went away. All the pulleys alternator, NEW Water pump and of course the crank all spin. can I get squeal from an alternator bearings without it locking?By the way what is the nissan size belt Part number to replace the Unorthodox racing crank pully and stock alternator. Luckily is was very cold so the engine did not overheat but I watched the temp and battery close and turned off all lights radio fans etc. any suggestions for help would be great. I want to get my Z back on the road again. I knew I'd have a few tech probs to work through but I could use advice on this one. I'm thinking I need to replace the alternator. I have a newer used OEM I'm going to get checked out before pulling all the belts off to replace this one.
