I am smoke testing my car this weekend to check for vacuum leaks because my car hesitates. I hooked up my aftermarket boost gauge this past weekend because my stock one wasnt working and needle is stuck to the left. The aftermarket gauge is telling me that when I get to 0 psi from a vacuum, the car really hesitates and sort of jumps forward and back real jerky. When this happens theres is a real noticeable gas smell. Also when just driving at a consistent speed on the highway, not removing my foot from the gas, the car will just stop accellerating, as if I took my foot off the gas completely. To get it working again I take my foot off the pedal, and than press it again, and its all real jerky and hesitant . Is there some solenoids I should be looking for that could not be working? I checked all but one of the connectors behind the engine by the firewall that are buried for corrosion and added dielectric grease. Thanks for any help.
