| your starter is bad? How did you check it? I first check starters in place using a getto jump from batt+ to the solenoid lead wire with a 3 foot piece of 12ga wire clipped on to the unplugged lead to the starter solenoid and then in neutral with clutch in touch the batt + post. If car starts the starter passes if not pull it and do a final test at the starter shop. Stay away from Pep Boys starters. Not sure about Auto Zone units. I have a local starter/ alternator rebuild shop that does quality work and have been using them for all my cars. Doing the getto jump bypasses the stater relay located at the rear of left front fender behind the gravel shield. If starter passes the jump test and normal start still fails look into the starter relay, they do go out and are cheaper than the starter if that is the problem. Note use only a Nissan replacement relay because after market relays sometimes do not fit the electric plug. To remove the starter disconnect the batt. Jack up car and put on stands or drive up on ramps B4 step 1 Disconnect the batt cable to solenoid Work the bolts out Starter should wiggle past the shields Starter will pull out
