If you didn't install the resistor you should have had a harder than stock shift.. If you know of anyone that has the TT with auto have them disconnect the resistor ,, you'll hear a whine caused by a higher pressure .. I have the manual reverse valve body and it whines because the electronics are gone and the valvebody causes a higher pressure for all gears. The shift problem will continue to increase and you won't be able to reset the ECU by turning it off and then back on.. The last one I had that problem was from 1st to 2nd ended up being the the seal for the overun clutch, along with having 3rd gear clutches and steels burnt that was a SZ built transmission lasted about a year.
